It is the mission of Centre Safe, formerly Centre County Women’s Resource Center, to empower survivors of sexual or domestic violence, and to work toward the elimination of such violence. Domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking are issues that affect the entire community. Chances are, whether you are aware of it or not, someone in your life has been affected by abuse or assault. All services of Centre Safe are professional, confidential, and free. Trained counselor advocates are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Your privacy and safety are our primary concerns. There are many ways you can support Centre Safe and join the movement to end dating and domestic violence, sexual assaultm, and stalking.

We have rental units in Philipsburg House that include utilities. These units are efficiency, studio and one bedroom apartments. Other properties in Philipsburg are 2 and 3 bedroom duplex units, utilities not included in rent. Available apartments are advertised on Marketplace, pahousingsearch.com and Zillow. We do keep a waiting list.

The Holt Memorial Library, a branch of Centre County Library & Historical Museum, serves the Philipsburg area by providing free access to books, information, internet, and technology resources. Committed to literacy and lifelong learning, the library also offers programs and services that support education and community engagement.

The Moshannon Valley YMCA strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness, camps, family time, sports and play, and other activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities. We're more than just a place to work out. At the Y, we help help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.

The Philipsburg Revitalization Corporation is a non-profit volunteer organization headed by a board of directors that works to make Philipsburg a better place to live, visit and do business. Veterans, domestic violence victims, homeless, fire victims, we have Angelina's prom closet with a ton of gowns and other formal wear, we are a shoulder to lean on and are great listeners 💜. All in memory of Lisa's 10 yr old sister Brittany who passed away from leukemia.
