🏆 A Team Built on Experience & Strength

This year’s squad is stacked with talent, returning seven starters from last season. One of the biggest advantages? The entire starting infield is back, providing consistency and leadership on the field.

With a fast-approaching season opener, Coach Sankey emphasizes the importance of preparing pitchers and hitters in a short amount of time. “We have a lot to go over in a short period of time,” he says, but the team is up for the challenge.

The team also welcomes Connor Guenot and Nick Desimone to the Varsity roster, two promising players who could make an immediate impact this season.

⚾ A Season of Tough Competition

Philipsburg-Osceola competes in one of the toughest conferences in Pennsylvania, meaning every game is a battle. The team is prepared to face strong competition all season long, making for an exciting schedule.

One of the biggest highlights? The Altoona Curve Invitational – a three-day tournament held at The People’s Natural Gas Field, offering the players an unforgettable experience on a professional field.

💙 Community, Tradition, and Team Culture

The Mountie Baseball Program isn’t just about winning games; it’s about building a strong team culture and giving back to the community. Each year, the team hosts the Annual Jack Frank Memorial Golf Tournament, a fun event that brings the community together and supports the program.

A favorite tradition among players is the Player of the Game Award—an honor that changes every season, keeping things fresh and fun for the athletes.

With a talented roster, strong leadership, and big goals ahead, this season is shaping up to be one to watch. Make sure to follow along and support the Mounties as they chase a district championship!
